Understanding Youth Sexual Health Education
In this interview, Next Gen Convos hosts a discussion with Zoa, and Theo from the Colorado Sexual Health Initiative (COSHI). The team discusses their roles, the comprehensive sexual education they deliver to young people in Colorado, and the importance of speaking the right language. Zoa and Theo shed light on their experiences with youth in the system and the importance of being affirming and respectful towards their identities. Notably, they stress on the importance of using correct pronouns and providing age-appropriate sexual education to the youth. They also share an interesting collaborative initiative, 'Life As Told By You', in which young people create social media content around sexual health education.
